Nathan initially discovered his passion for financial planning when he and his wife, Brooke, began focusing on their own finances shortly after getting married. At the time, Nathan was working as a project manager for Epic Systems, a healthcare IT company based in the Madison, WI area. Through engaging with a local financial advisor, he recognized just how crucial financial planning is for achieving successful outcomes. Almost a year to the date of beginning that engagement, the decision was made to leave Epic and pursue his calling. Since 2014, Nathan has worked with clients on many of the same objectives that he found to be so important while on the other side of the table. His primary focus with every financial plan is ensuring that clients can fully embrace the present, while still taking the necessary actions to ensure a compelling future for themselves and those they care most about.
In his free time, Nathan enjoys being a husband to his wife, Brooke, and a father to his two kids, Reese and Draper. He and his family enjoy a household full of pets: Two dogs; Sophie and Onyx, as well as three cats; Milo, Duchess and Shakti. He also enjoys combining his love of music with his desire for adventure by planning multiple trips each year to concerts and festivals held around the country. Daily life involves reading, meditating, exercising, and spending a lot of time outside in nature. Nathan also plays an occasional round of golf, enjoys swimming, and DJs for his kids’ dance parties.
Nathan was a four-year letterwinner and team captain of the University of Iowa swimming team, majored in Business Management, and earned a Certificate in Entrepreneurship. He holds three financial planning designations and is pursuing a fourth. Education will always be a substantial pillar in his practice, as he firmly believes you’re either “green and growing” or “ripe and rotting”.
